FLM Names Dickey Senior VP, Creative Director
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—December 14, 2011 — Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland (FLM) announces Dave Dickey as Senior Vice President, Creative Director and member of the company’s Leadership Team. Internationally experienced, award-winning Dickey will lead the fast-growing company’s creative, traffic and production teams.

Michele Johnson Joins Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland as Director of Business Analytics

MINNEAPOLIS, MN—November 2, 2011—FLM announces three new additions to its fast-growing team of professionals. Joining the agency are Account Coordinator Maureen Degnan and Regional Communications Specialists Jessica Dornink and Brittany Nussbaum.
Maureen Degnan serves as an account coordinator out of FLM’s Minnesota office, and she is responsible for coordinating communications and social media for agency clients. Prior to working for the agency, she served as a special events coordinator for the Principal Charity Classic Golf Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa and vice president of marketing for Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. Maureen graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business marketing.
Brittany Nussbaum is based in Minnesota and serves as a one of the agency’s two regional communication specialists. Her responsibilities include driving media coverage at the local level, coordinating local media relationships, activating communications between local stakeholders, and assisting with the implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy. Prior to her position with FLM, Brittany was a marketing and promotions coordinator for DairyNet Inc. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from South Dakota State University in agriculture business and dairy production.
Jessica Dornink also serves as a communications marketing specialist for FLM. She is based in Minnesota and is responsible for activating and managing local media coverage and relationships for agency clients. Prior to FLM, she held positions with the South Dakota Pork Producers Council as their program and communications director and Preston Dairy & Farm Association. She has also done freelance design for Ag United for South Dakota and Premier Crop Services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in multimedia from Northwestern College, Orange City and a certificate in graphic design.

Kirby Barrick Joins Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland Board of Advisors
COLUMBUS, OH—September 28, 2011—R. Kirby Barrick, current faculty member and former Dean of College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Florida, joins Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland’s (FLM) advisory board. The FLM Board of Advisors provides outside strategic counsel both for the agency’s growing list of clients and its expanding staff. Members of this distinguished board contribute to select client projects and convene throughout the year to offer strategic advice to the agency as it continues on its track as one of the fastest growing independent Midwestern agencies.
“It is an honor to have Dr. Barrick join our team. His incredible background in both U.S. and international ag education and extension work offers another critical dimension to our client strategy work. His leadership and visionary talents are already being utilized by FLM,” said Rob McClelland, FLM president.

Barrick was named chair of the Department of Agricultural Education at Ohio State University in 1989. For more than two years he also served as assistant director of OSU Extension for 4-H Youth Development. From 1996 to 2005, he was the associate dean for academic programs for the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois. He then served as the dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Florida for five years, returning to full-time faculty in September 2010.
Barrick has served as president of the Agricultural Education Division and a member of the board of directors of the American Vocational Association. He has authored or co-authored more than 125 refereed articles and papers, delivered 150 invited papers, posters and workshops, and served as principal investigator for more than $7 million in grants and contracts. He is a fellow in the American Association for Agricultural Education, received the Centennial Award of Alpha Zeta honorary and the Outstanding Educator Award from NACTA, and is a Fulbright Senior Specialist. Barrick is also a past national president of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.
He earned his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in agricultural education from the Ohio State University. Dr. Barrick and his wife, Susan, currently reside in Gainesville, Fla. They have two married children and five grandchildren.

COLUMBUS, OH—September 27, 2011—Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland (FLM) announces three new additions to its fast growing team of professionals. Joining the agency are Account Coordinator Kelsey Opdahl, Copywriter and Account Coordinator Mary Hammon and Account Executive Brooke Henders.
Kelsey Opdahl is based in FLM’s Minnesota office and is responsible for managing client projects and creative coordination. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and communications. Kelsey previously worked as a developer for product promotions, managing product reporting, coordinating focus groups, and studying visual communications abroad in Italy. She is a member of both the Advertising Federation and the National Student Advertising Competition, where she placed second regionally.
Mary Hammon, based in FLM’s Columbus headquarters, handles writing and communications for the agency and clients, as well as project management and account services. She has worked as an independent writer, editor and consultant for publishers, small business, and conservation clients and for two years as communications associate for the National Association of Conservation Districts in Washington, D.C., where she conveyed news, policy information and messaging on key issues to the organization’s stakeholders. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in creative writing.
Brooke Henders based out of Illinois is an Account Executive and responsible for communications and special events for several FLM clients. Brooke has spent her career in the Chicagoland area managing communications and product campaigns for agricultural clients including Pfizer Animal Health, Bayer CropScience and Caterpillar. She has a degree in agribusiness from the University of Missouri-Columbia and seven years experience in marketing communications, holding positions at Rhea + Kaiser Marketing Communications and the Norton Agency.

Long-Time Marketing Communications Leader Ted Priebe Joins FLM

He was also president of Miller Meester Advertising in Minneapolis, where he helped grow the company into the nation’s largest agricultural communications agency in the 1990s. Prior to Miller Meester, he was general manager of Century Communications in Chicago, which published Agri-Marketing magazine.
Priebe has been elected to several national agricultural leadership positions, including chairman of the Board of Directors of the Purdue University Alumni Association; national president of Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity; the AGR Hall of Fame; and the National FFA Sponsors Advisory Board. He is also a recipient of the National Agri-Marketing Association Communicator of the Year Award.
