+ Phillip Farmer, Founder

Phillip brings nearly 20 years of advertising, marketing, and business development experience to the agency. Phillip’s prior experience includes working for advertising agencies in Des Moines, Iowa and Maumee, Ohio. While in Ohio, Phillip managed the account service team, built client relationships and established organic growth strategies.

 

John

+ John Lumpe, Chief Operating Officer

John was named COO of FLM in early 2010 and is responsible for overall agency operations and financials. John is an exceptional professional with nearly two decades of experience in senior leadership, association management, public relations and integrated market communications strategy. John’s career experience includes positions with Lord, Sullivan & Yoder Advertising and Public Relations (now Fahlgren) and 15 years with the Ohio Soybean Council and the Ohio Soybean Association.
 

Rob

+ Rob McClelland, President

As president of FLM, Rob is responsible for leading and implementing the agency’s client development and overall growth strategies. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and professional services senior management to his role. His diverse background includes positions with Ciba-Geigy (now Syngenta), Meyocks & Priebe Advertising, BroadVision and Adayana.

+ Dr. David Ash, Senior Vice President

A seasoned business practitioner, Dave has 30 years of experience serving the agriculture industry. He has worked with Fortune 100 companies, family-owned businesses, regional cooperatives and non-profits to develop human and organizational development solutions that center on creating performance management, leadership development, and cultural transformative initiatives. Previously, Dave worked with Adayana, Inc., KnowledgeWORKS, Amoco Oil, Syngenta, Cargill, Inc. and Land-O-Lakes, Inc.

+ Dave Dickey, Senior Vice President, Creative Director

As Creative Director, Dave is responsible for the overall creative product, creative team, traffic and production at FLM. Dave brings deep experience from his own creative business, Proton Communications, as well as positions at some of the world’s leading agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG and Bozell.
 

 

Laurie

+ Laurie Fleck, Senior Vice President

Laurie has 20-plus years of national and international marketing and communication experience, specifically in branding, communications, business development, go-to-market, employee engagement and product/service launch. Laurie recently served as lead for internal communications for Syngenta Seeds in North America and was a part of the global communications team for Syngenta, including brand launch efforts. She also worked extensively on marketing communications for IMC Global (now Mosaic).
 

Tom

+ Thomas Gahm, Senior Vice President

A marketing and communications strategist and proven hands-on practitioner, Tom has organized international customer meetings; managed marketing programs targeting international fertilizer customers; and developed branding and communications strategies for U.S. Soybean Export Council. He has also handled public relations for St. Jude Medical; global communications and issues management for Syngenta; and strategic communications for Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council.

+ Rachel Gray, Vice President

Rachel manages strategy, team members, and integrated communications for select FLM clients. She has many success stories in public relations, social media, and issues management. Rachel comes to FLM from Kohnstam Communcations, Kocina Marketing Companies and H. B. Fuller.

+ Burke Johnson, Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director

Burke plays a senior role in creative leadership, integrated communications strategy and account planning for FLM’s clients. His work is nationally recognized for breakthrough creative that produces far reaching results, including experience at some of the country’s most respective agencies serving the business of agriculture and life of rural America.
 

Steve

+ Steve Katz, Senior Vice President

Steve develops and manages public sector contracts for FLM for clients such as the Department of Agriculture, Homeland Security and Justice. He has over 15 years of public and private sector experience in the fields of professional services management, communications, change management, and training. His background includes positions with Adayana, marchFIRST, and the Agency Management Group.
 
 

Ted

+ Ted Priebe, FLM Board of Advisors Chair and Senior Consultant

Ted serves as the agency’s liaison to the Board of Advisors for FLM and chairs this unique group. In addition, he is a full-time senior consultant specializing in collaborating with clients in strategic communications, branding, go-to-market and issues management development. He has 30-plus years of experience working with such leading organizations as Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Hy-Vee Food Stores, Bayer, American Cyanamid (now BASF), Farm Credit, USDA, Abbott Laboratories, John Deere and IMC Global (now Mosaic). Ted was formerly instrumental in building two of the country’s largest agricultural agencies and is highly recognized in agricultural marketing circles.

+ Lisa Smith, Vice President

Lisa manages strategy, team members, and integrated communications for select FLM clients. Her extensive experience includes guiding communications programs, publications, media relations, event planning and issues strategies. Prior to FLM she was with National Association of Conservation Districts and National Pork Producers Council.
